About our Instructor in Training Program

At Chapman Modern Martial Arts, our Instructor-in-Training (IIT) Program is designed for dedicated students who are ready to grow beyond their own training and begin developing leadership skills.
This program gives students the opportunity to work alongside our instructors, assisting in classes while learning how to lead, communicate, and support others in a structured martial arts environment.
Through hands-on experience, students learn how to:
  • Help organize and assist in class
  • Demonstrate techniques safely and effectively
  • Support beginner students with encouragement and guidance
  • Understand class structure, terminology, and curriculum
The IIT program builds confidence, discipline, and responsibility—skills that benefit students not only in martial arts, but in school, sports, and everyday life.
Students selected for this program are expected to lead by example, showing respect, focus, and a positive attitude at all times. Participation is a privilege and is based on maturity
